Here's the Exploratorium, a mobile dance floor complete with awesome sound system and stripper pole -- and of course flame jets out the roof. The remains of a small pickup truck beneath the floor give it locomotive ability. A lot of really good times in that thing in the brightly-lit depths of night.

Scattered around it, various objets des Burn such as the mechanical one-man gorilla. More on that another day. Maybe. The pic also shows the intersection of 7:30 and Bonneville, this side of the Ashram Galactica sign, and just a small portion of the City beyond.
The camp tower, a fine beacon in the middle of night for those who've lost their way. Of course, there are a lot of towers in Black Rock City. You have to know your own.

Our sign, lettered by me one warm afternoon with a handful of marker pens, furthered decorated by others.

Speakin' of signs, this was prominent on the playa, shown here with a fine example of typical BRC traffic.

And if you go far enough out into the desert, you will find it.
