That was the only part of the article I agreed with. Go figure.
Yea, yea, yea. That pitbull and lipstick quote? I'd heard it before the speech.
Why it should go into Bartlett's is anyone's guess.
But then I guess some of Reagan's "ad libs" that were actually something someone else had said first made it in, so why not Palin's.
Well, because Peggy wrote some of Reagan's scripts, and I can see her being all right with her own plagiarism getting into Bartlett's via The Great Communicator's mellifluous anunciations but not someone else's. But anyway, it was just an ad lib, one of those things you say off the cuff. Noonan's breathlessness is depriving her brain if she thinks Palin expects anyone to think she made it up.
