In a few more days, and she learned to put a paw on the latch and open the door from the garage into the house. The world is her plaything.
Then we learned not to let her out in the chicken part of the yard when they're worming around outside. She loves to chase them chickens and is too young to know not to.
She's about three times as big as she was a month ago. She plays relentlessly, and the old dog has finally given in and plays back. He didn't like her at first but now she makes him laugh.
He was run over by a truck when he was little and has always had leg trouble. Ten arthritic years later, he really appreciates that he doesn't have to get up to get some good old dog playtime.

Ahh! Too cute! But those poor chickens didn't know how good they had it with the old dog. :)
Cocoa's much more active now that Tiki's around, so I think it's good to get a young pet when you have an older one. Plus, they're CUTE!!

They grow up so fast. A month is way to long to not be snapping puppy memories. Great pics.
Oh, she is sooooooo cute. Glad the old guy's finally enjoying her company. What's not to love? I used to chase chickens too, careen my uncle's old purple coupe through the yard ... until my grandma made me stop. But it was fun, especially revving up the engine before the lunge. Luckily, I grew out of that phase. No, I did. Really.
this dredges up memories of when i was a pup and my mom ran over my foot with her ford escort after dropping me off for little league. i also prefer not to have to get up for good old dog playtime.
