Bunch a squares

I turned seven squared yesterday.

Three months ago, my son turned four squared.

Three months before that, my father turned nine squared.

The number of days from my son's birthday to mine is one more than the number of days from my father's birthday to my son's. In leap years, the distances are the same.

Right, didn't quit blogging yet. I feel I should. If I explain why, I'm afraid I may sound majorly critical of blogging in general. So I'll just shut up. And, evidently, continue.

Here's a picture of my other son, the adult (!),who is the very model of a modern major general.

Happy Birthday! I hope you don't quit altogether, but that's just me being selfish. :)

Happy bday.

I hit the magic 55 on Sunday. Why magic? Because being 55 means I get the SENIOR CITIZEN DISCOUNT at the Goodwill thrift stores.

Yowzee wowzee!

We'll be up in Woodfords for the weekend to watch the Perseid meteor shower, if the skies cooperate. x'd fingers.

Happy Birthday, Don! I still have three and a half months til that particular square. Yesterday, though, I got a letter from AARP asking me to join.

How dare they! I'm not there yet!

Don - Happy birthday! Glad you're not dwelling on it. :-)

Arleen - I'm only 41 and I've been getting mail about funeral plots for years.

You can't just say that and then leave it hanging!!
Hope you had a very Happy Birthday.

Hey, I'm 6 squared. Does that make me 2/3 devil?

Oh, I'm sure you are, sometimes. ;)

All these squares. It occurred to me that the squares in series have as their differences the series of odd numbers. I thought, how odd. But then I did the math and saw it makes perfect sense. Not quite worth a blog post, damned silly, what.

I love a life observation, translated into a math problem, wrapped in a word problem! (Even if it takes me 20+ years to figure them out...)
Happy belated!
