It is spoken by Romeo after being rejected by Rosaline, before he has seen true beauty in Juliet. Sort of a Feb 14th-ish reflection on love, like the way Valentino led his life, I guess, though I wouldn't mind having tried it his way for a little while.
That's such a cool photo. Makes me wish smoking was good for you.
I had a friend, now dead, an older woman named Lorraine, who told me she had a one night fling with Valentino during her drinking days. That proves ol' Rudolph was indeed lucky in love.
RV was... not dreamy. But he was cool.
Mr. Valentino had interesting handwriting, based on the autograph on this photo. It's a demonstrated fact that most persons of questionable morals have exquisite handwriting. Casanova, for one. And some other people I can't remember now. Machiavelli, I think, and Cardinal Richelieu.
